Designated Defense Counsel Duties

The responsibilities assigned to Spanos | Przetak by various case management orders are primarily administrative. As we have learned from years of experience, coordination is essential in complex litigation. The overall objectives of these orders are efficiency and economy.

As outlined by the orders themselves, certain discovery tasks are performed on behalf of all defendants. Each defendant must notify Designated Defense Counsel when served in a case.

Upon request, we can also:

Review plaintiffs’ interrogatory responses, serve subpoenas and authorizations for medical and employment records, radiology and pathology materials.

Retain joint defense medical experts, schedule defense medical examinations and expert reviews, distribute their discoverable reports and writings, and coordinate their depositions.
